How worrying. You need to go back and have this diagnosed perhaps by needle biopsy so that you know exactly what you are dealing with here. It may be a benign tumor (one that doesn't spread) but even so it might be interfering with swallowing and breathing. You didn't say where on the neck it was, but drooling may indicate a blocked salivary gland issue.
