Can you smoke weed at 13?

Im interseted in smoking weed but i dont know how bad it really is. People say It's not that bad. I know where to get it from but im a bit scared in tyring it and dont want to tell my mum or get in trouble with the police. All my idols - Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love, Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Layne Staley - they all did drugs and i am very interested in just trying them. Is it easy to get addicted to weed? And will my mum be able to smell it on me?
