Is Izzy a good name for a male hamster?

I getting a male Russian Winter White Hamster Thursday and I'm having trouble coming up with names. I thought of Izzy (Iz for short) but my mom said it's more of a girl name. What do you think? Any other 1 word suggestions? Thanks
