Is it possible to transfer to honors classes?

I got my schedule for the next school year. I was not placed in any honors classes and I'm really sad because it was all because of one grade. But besides that grade, I am eligible for honors classes. I am a pretty good student, all of my friends are in honors classes and that makes me feel sad. Is there a way I can transfer to honor's classes and algebra? I know I can do all the work and how do I convince my counselor?
